Clinical Laboratory Technologist
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in the clinical laboratory. Routine laboratory testing assignment will be in the Chemistry, Hematology, and Roswell Park satellite locations in Chemo/Infusion and the Amherst Center. Routine job functions include specimen acceptance, accessioning, processing, performance of testing and quality control procedures, equipment maintenance, supply inventory management, and the use of various laboratory information systems for result generation, reporting, and documentation. This position will require the routine performance of phlebotomy (venipuncture) for laboratory specimen procurement.
The applicant must have Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York. The preferred candidate will have clinical laboratory, phlebotomy, and customer service experience.
