Clinical Laboratory Technician
Performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in the Clinical laboratories. Routine laboratory testing will be in the Chemistry and Hematology sections including the performance of manual white blood cell differentials. Routine job functions include specimen acceptance, accessioning, processing, performance of testing and quality control procedures, the use of various laboratory information systems for result generation, reporting, and documentation. This role will include a rotational assignment to satellite laboratory location which will require competency in specimen procurement by venipuncture.
Applicant must possess a License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or an Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in the State of New York. The preferred candidate will have clinical laboratory, phlebotomy, and customer service experience.
