Processes requests and receives clinical laboratory/clinical research/research testing material within the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine; accessions, processes, and routes clinical laboratory testing material to appropriate clinical testing area; transcribes, prints, sorts, mails, and faxes laboratory reports; handles requests for laboratory reports, specimen tracking, and laboratory requests via phone, email, mail, and other correspondence methods; assists with the performance of laboratory quality control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities; maintains laboratory supply inventories and processes requests for supply orders.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in a Healthcare discipline or an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and current enrollment in an approved BS program in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of two years of full time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology.
