Description of Duties:
The Child Life Specialist provides activities and services to meet the psychosocial, emotional and developmental needs of pediatric patients and families; provides consultation to children of adult patients upon referral.
1.Master’s degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in Child Life Position in a medical setting, or
2.Bachelor’s degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in Child Life Position n a medical setting; or
3.Associate’s degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in Child Life Position in a medical setting.
The preferred candidate will have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Child Life, holding the Child Life Certification and experience working with pediatric hematology-oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
