Provides the evaluation, plan of care, therapeutic intervention, reevaluation and education of patients who are referred for acupuncture, Facilitates acupuncture treatment sessions, Evaluates acupuncture treatment outcomes and recommends new or altered treatments as necessary, educates patients on treatment goals and therapy plans.
The applicant must have a License to practice as an Acupuncturist in the State of New York; and a National Certification Commission for Acupuncture (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine. The applicant must have a Master’s degree from an accredited acupuncture program and the equivalent of five years of full-time experience with acupuncture, including two years of full-time experience in treating oncology patients and two years of full-time experience working in a hospital setting.
