Description of Duties:
The Wellness Program Coordinator Serves as Program Coordinator for activities and educational programs in the Wellness Program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park);organizes and implements a comprehensive education program for patients, caregivers, and staff on Wellness oriented topics; creates the infrastructure and directs implementation of a comprehensive program that provides Wellness activities for patients, caregivers, and staff ; collaborates with community partners to create a network of Wellness programming available to patients, caregivers, and staff of Roswell Park; collaborates with academic investigators to develop an initial and long-term research agenda involving wellness; identifies and pursues grant opportunities and other sources of funding to support research and educational initiatives nested in the Wellness program; assists in the management of Wellness programming budget.
For 50% time this position will also serve as the primary fundraising coordinator for the wellness program on behalf of the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation. In this capacity will initiate and serve as primary coordinator of any sanctioned Roswell Park fundraising events or cause marketing promotions and liaison to any third party sanctioned special events benefitting the wellness program. The position is responsible for securing necessary funds to support this position and wellness programing on an annual basis.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Health or a related field and the equivalent of four years of full-time experience in a health related field; or two years of full-time experience working within a hospital setting; or one year of full-time experience with developing and implementing programming within a health care facility; or an Associate’s degree in Science, Health or a related field and the equivalent of six years of full-time experience in a health related field; or four years of full-time experience working within a hospital setting; or two years of full-time experience with developing and implementing programming within a health care facility
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
