Description of Duties:
The Plant Engineer's main responsibility is to maximize the efficiency of the Institutes utility systems and infrastructure through monitoring, testing, maintenance and repair work. During the evening shift the Plant Engineer also works to solve temperature complaints, performs room pressurization tests, completes building rounds and monitors the campus energy management systems.
1. Associate's degree in Plant Utilities Technology or a related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in a power plant or similar setting as a boiler operator; or
2. High School diploma or G.E.D., three (3) years of military training or its equivalent in boiler (steam), chiller (chilled water) or HVAC systems, and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in a power plant or similar setting as a boiler operator.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.
