Description of Duties:
The Systems Architect is responsible for architecting, programing systems and defining programming standards and technology specifications for software developers in the department; manages employees; trains employees in these requirements and audits developed code as needed; researches new and upcoming related technologies; develops documentation appropriately. The Systems Architect assists the CTO in System Architecture and Software Engineering, documents system architecture and works with security team, participates in audits, mentors junior developers, responsible for designing and implementing information technology solutions (including hardware and software); works on advanced, complex technology development projects requiring state of the art technical and industry knowledge; develops and manages data warehousing efforts including APIs to interact with the data, collaborates with business area subject matter experts; Identifies key technology improvement possibilities that could raise top of line business, reduce overhead, improve organizational performance and contribute to a positive patient experience; handles special projects tied to urgent patient safety issues, executive priority work, audit requests, and government regulation.
