Description of Duties

Performs advanced, expert level computer application support; performs testing for the Clinical Application space at Roswell Park as they pertain to custom software as well as vendor application configuration, builds, and customization; responsible for the testing efforts necessary during upgrades as well as feature enhancements to the many Clinical systems at Roswell; develop and implement test plans and testing standards; work directly with IT application and system owners in defining IT quality management practices to ensure we meet customer priorities; and perform quality assurance review as needed.


Applications must possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in programming of mainframe or PC information systems as it relates to technology used at the organization. The preferred candidate will have the following: Experience with configuration and development of complex vendor applications; Experience with software validation. Creation and maintenance of automated testing; Experience and understanding of Healthcare workflows; and experience with technical writing and training documentation. The preferred candidate will also: possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; possess the ability to comprehend and troubleshoot complex software issues and communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
