Description of Duties:
The Senior Programmer/Analyst performs intermediate to advanced level computer application development and support, gathers requirements, writes codes, tests and supports multiple programs or systems at the same time, and follows best practices for development using an SDLC methodology. The Senior Programmer/Analyst works directly with customers and IT staff for requirements, design, development and coordination of system changes, monitors and supports existing system workflows for optimization of usage, and develops supporting documentation for system solution departments.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four years of full-time experience in programming of mainframe or PC information systems as it relates to technology used at the Institute. The preferred candidate will have experience working with healthcare related systems and healthcare related interfaces (HL7, FHIR), experience with software development and support, and vendor management experience. They will have strong communication skills and team based software development experience.
