Description of Duties

Assists the Manager, Human Resources Systems with the development, implementation, maintenance and coordination of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and processes for long-term and short-term projects; determines project scope in consultation with Human Resources and other staff; identifies areas of opportunities to improve existing HRIS processes, functionality and work flow, and maximizes technological capabilities to reduce manual processes and to improve data management and efficiency; creates new or revises existing reporting methods as needed to ensure compliance with reporting regulations; supports departmental and organization staff on Human Resources systems and processes.

 

Qualifications

The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in Human Resource Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field including one year of experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and related ERP report writer tools; or an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of five years of full-time experience in Human Resource Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field including one year of experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and related ERP report writer tools; or a High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of seven years of full-time experience in Human Resources Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field including one year of experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and related ERP report writer tools.

The preferred candidate will have previous experience with Workday and experience in implementing or supporting Workday and/or ERP applications such as configurations, reporting, data, imports/exports and upgrades.  Knowledge of HR disciplines is a plus in any of the following: Core HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, Time/Absence and Learning.  Must have a strong understanding of database reporting concepts, software development methodologies and technology along with business analysis.  In addition, the preferred candidate have strong problem solving, leadership and presentation skills; excellent written, documentation and oral communication skills; have proven ability to effectively manage tasks and activities, work independently and be a self-starter. Must have the ability to rapidly learn and apply new emerging applications, technologies and techniques and have the ability to multi-task and overcome obstacles to meet critical deadlines. Must be a self-motivated quick learner with excellent analytical and research skills.  Must be capable of delivering strong attention to detail, accuracy, problem-solving, critical thinking, have the ability to communicate, both verbally and written, with a high level of confidence.  Also, must have  the ability to work independently as well as collaborating with team members from various business functions.
