Description of Duties:
The Senior Event Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development and execution of integrated marketing plans and strategies for special events and cause marketing initiatives managed by the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation. The incumbent will lead the coordination of marketing activities, such as social media, public relations, marketing collateral (flyers, brochures, posters, etc.), in-kind advertising and media buys, content marketing (blogs, video scripting) email and digital marketing strategy including website content. The candidate will also be responsible for tracking analytics of digital marketing efforts to evaluate success and inform future marketing strategy.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism , Communications or related field; or and Associate’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related and the equivalent of two (2) years of full- time experience in a public affairs or publications setting.
The preferred candidate will have impeccable organizational skills with strong attention to detail, be a self-starter who is confident and capable or working on multiple projects at once with the ability to deliver results on tight deadlines while adhering to high quality standards. The candidate will be personable with strong communication skills to work in a team environment. The candidate must have demonstrated abilities to produce effective and creative written communications and provide clear direction for related digital, print and video communications. The candidate must have demonstrated creativity in developing marketing and communication strategies and show passion and interest in supporting the cancer cause.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
