Description of Duties:
The Senior Environmental Services Worker supervises, instructs and coordinates housekeeping functions in a designated area. The Senior Environmental Services Worker assists with work schedule preparation and participates in a variety of cleaning-related tasks in order to maintain cleanliness within patient care, post-patient care and all non-patient and public areas. This includes the cleansing of sterile areas. They also perform necessary linen services operations, operate or supervise the operation of lawn-care equipment and snow removal/distribution equipment as needed, operate various other machinery, and perform more complex specialty functions and/or processes as directed.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in housekeeping, environmental services or a related field. The preferred candidate will have excellent verbal, phone, and written communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and stability in employment history. They will also have excellent time and attendance, the ability to stand on feet for 8 hour shifts or more, and demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain work output in the face of shifting priorities. They will have experience in working in unsupervised environments while maintaining effective communication with supervision and customers. They will have a strong sense of professionalism, will remain calm under pressure, will take ownership of responsibilities, will have flexibility within and across shifts and days based on business needs, and will have the ability to plan and execute of tasks.
