Description of Duties:
The Senior Corporate Coding Specialist Assures corporate coding and billing is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with third party carriers, compliance, and regulatory agency guidelines; retrieves information related to the submission of claim payments services provided from Institute physicians, administrators, nursing, and other Institute staff.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)/Administrator and the equivalent of four years of full-time coding experience; or a High School Diploma or G.E.D., certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and the equivalent of four years of full-time coding experience. The preferred candidate will have experience with ICD-10 coding, CPT4 coding, inpatient hospital facility coding, and evaluation and medicine (E&M) coding. They will also have experience working with an electronic medical record and the ability to work as a team player.
