Description of Duties:
The Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence is responsible for the coordination, collection, design, interpretation and completion of senior management and administration's analytical needs as they relate to the Center's internal reporting. The Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence provides on-demand and recurring data analytic needs in support of the Center's clinical volume reporting and payer negotiations and coordinates the analysis and presentation of key performance indicators, linking the Center's strategic goals with the measurement and management of its performance against those goals. They also utilize technical skill set and knowledge of clinical coding and billing systems to support the integration and reporting of existing and new data sources into the Center's business intelligence platform, utilize data mining and analytical skill set to determine operational and financial impacts to various Center-wide initiatives, and assist in the delivery and execution of prioritized business intelligence projects that yield high-value, actionable analytic insights for leadership. The Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence prepares other written documentation as required by the department and profession and maintains, distributes, analyzes and projects information required for reports and statistics as directed.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four years of full-time experience in a corporate accounting/financial reporting/analyst role; or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, information systems or a related field and the equivalent of six years of full-time experience in a corporate accounting/financial reporting/analyst role. The preferred candidate will have at least seven years of full-time experience in the reporting and analytics function, with at least five years of experience in a healthcare setting. They will have experience with report development, writing generation, query design, data quality management, experience in a clinical/hospital setting, and experience with the documentation process and validation processes for accuracy. They will have the ability to multi-task, will have strong written and oral communication skills, data management skills, and will have healthcare analytics, dashboards and KPI development experience.
