$20.61 per hour. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Description of Duties:
The Resource Center Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Resource Center. The Resource Center Coordinator assists in the training and supervision of the Resource Center staff and volunteers, identifies, develops and updates patient education materials in the Resource Center in cooperation with the Patient Education Department and counsels and educates patients and family members on cancer information and support, providing access to reliable resources. They also assist the Patient Education Department with the development and implementation of organization-wide educational and quality of life programs which may include patient outreach and support, basic cancer information training for new staff and volunteers and new patient orientation.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a health related field and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience in a community education related field; or an Associate’s degree in a health related field and the equivalent of four years of full-time experience in a community education related field. The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a health related field, customer service experience, and experience working with people in a healthcare setting. They will also have a positive attitude, willingness to work as a team, will be organized, and will be proficient on a computer (i.e. Access, Excel, etc.).
