Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic
The Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic supports the mission of Basic Science and Research. The Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic provides direct support, maintenance and repairs of all refrigeration and freezer units associated with Basic Science and Research and coordinates and supports all research operations related to preventative maintenance of all refrigeration units. They also maintain all required parts inventories needed to support these units and interact with customers, including administration and faculty.
Applicants must have an Associates degree, accreditation from a technical or applicable skilled trade’s program and the equivalent of two years of full-time refrigeration experience; or a High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma, accreditation from a technical or applicable skilled trade’s program and the equivalent of four years of full-time refrigeration experience. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in refrigeration mechanics and the ability to work independently. They will also have excellent follow up and customer service skills.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
