Description of Duties:
The Programmer/Analyst performs routine and intermediate computer program analysis and design, researches supportive data and writes, codes, tests, and debugs computer programs, monitors program implementation determining optimum capacity of computer hardware and software, and designs programs accordingly. The Programmer/Analyst also works on the implementation and maintenance of the clinical pathway product, works to develop and implement EHR integration, develops customer reports as needed, and develops patient-facing materials that will be delivered on the patient portal. They also develop departmental dashboards and supports data warehousing, develops and implements new software programs from business requirements, maintains existing software, solves software bugs from logs and end use reports with standard debugging techniques, and enhances software performance through monitoring improvement.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience in programming of mainframe or PC information systems as it relates to technology used at the Institute. The preferred candidate will have experience in management information systems or a related field, two years full-time experience in software development, experience with version control systems and software branching, code review processes and adherence to always using version control for all code written, have deep understanding of SQL, relational databases, and the ability to interface data between systems with standard APIs such as JSON RPC2, XMLRPC, SOAP, and REST. They will have experience with the following tools and languages: elink, open link, scheduling.com, C#, Visual Basic, HTML, P-PHP, Powershell, Arden Syntax for Allscripts MLM Development, allcripts Objects Plus, SQL, SVN, Infragistics, WPF, IIS, Windows Server Management, clinical healthcare vendor products, knowledge of Allscripts Sunrise HER, ViaOncology and experience with medical specific API technologies FHIR and HL7 over socket. They will also have good written communication skills, good analytical skills, experience in report writing, working with interfaces, developing test plans and design documents, and the ability to clearly communicate with management and business owners. They will have the ability to clearly communicate with other technical support colleagues, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is a creative problem solver.
