Performance Data Specialist
The Performance Data Specialist provides analytic and research support to the Organizational Performance Improvement Department and clinical departments; abstracts data from the electronic medical record and submits to national database; develops and writes specialized reports utilizing national databases; critically analyzes the data looking for trends that result in clinical outcome improvements; communicates results of data analysis on a regular basis and facilitates process improvement initiatives in concert with clinical staff; develops high level of expertise leading to internal and external validity of abstracted data; researches and communicates information on best practices related to improvement initiatives; reports data as needed to internal committees such as QIC and M&M for clinical departments.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in health care project management or data analysis; or an Associate’s degree in a related field and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in health care project management or data analysis; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five years of full-time experience in health care project management or data analysis. The preferred candidate will have training and/or experience in data collection and data analysis in MS Excel, in statistical and simulation analysis in software such as Minitab, Flexsim or SAS, in process mapping and current state analysis, and in developing data driven solution and implement new processes.
