Description of Duties

The Payroll Manager participates in the management of the processing of bi-weekly payroll for Roswell Park employees as well as the design, implementation, and maintenance of system configurations related to earnings, deductions, and time accruals to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions; participates in the management of payroll tax compliance needs and reporting as well as the supervision of Payroll Services staff; prepares and/or reviews departmental correspondence and reports.

Qualifications

The applicant must have a Bachelors degree and the equivalent of four years of full-time payroll experience including one year in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of six years of full-time payroll experience including one year in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of eight years of full-time payroll experience including one year in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity. The preferred candidate previous experience with Lawson payroll, Workday payroll, and Windstar International Tax software preferred and previous experience in a Payroll Manager role.
