Description of Duties:
The Patient Transport Aide provides support services to hospital departments for patient transport. The Patient Transport Aide picks up and delivers medical records, supplies, medications, blood and blood products throughout the hospital and escorts patients to hospital departments when requested. They also provide assistance with patient arrival and departures when required.
Applicants must have a High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma. The preferred candidate will have two years of healthcare experience and patient transport experience. They will also have excellent customer service skills, excellent time and attendance, and the ability to work various hours. They will also have the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time and the ability to push patients in a wheelchair and/or stretcher.
