Patient Access Supervisor
The Patient Access Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Patient Access Department related to new patient scheduling and insurance verification, referral requests, authorizations, denials and appeals; implements and enforces front-end revenue cycle management policies and procedures including registration, identifying and referring patients to financial counselors, maintaining and updating referring physician database, admission duties and other related responsibilities and tasks; manages and delivers all aspects of Patient Access services; ensures compliance with organization, The Joint Commission (TJC) and other government, accrediting and regulatory body requirements; works with the Senior Director, Therapeutic Services and Patient Access, Patient Access Coordinators, Senior Patient Access Representatives and Patient Access Representatives for day-to-day operations, planning, quality assurance monitoring and performance improvement.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three years full-time experience in an ambulatory or outpatient clinic, health-care business office or patient access type of setting, including one year experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.
