Description of Duties

This is a trainee position. Incumbents will be engaged in trainee duties that may lead to the full performance level of a Patient Access Representative.


Applicants must have a High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma. The preferred candidate will have an Associates Degree and one year experience obtaining authorizations through insurance companies and the ability to verify insurances and obtain benefit details accurately. If no degree, they will have a minimum of three years experience obtaining authorizations through insurance companies and verifying insurances. They will also have experience with medical terminology and the ability to utilize computers efficiently and utilize various programs.
