Description of Duties:
The Patient Access Representative assumes responsibility for the effective entry of patients into Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Patient Access Representative coordinates and makes arrangements for all access-related activities including data gathering, triage, communication with referring physicians, scheduling visits and pre-visit diagnostic tests, communicating with disease-site teams and provides insurance and financial clearance for new and return visits.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in patient registration, scheduling and insurance verification; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park). The preferred candidate will have patient scheduling experience and experience with pediatric population. They will also have strong written and oral communication skills.
