Description of Duties:
The Nursing Supervisor promotes and maintains quality patient care through effective management of patient flow and supervision of patient care areas during his/her assigned tour of duty. The Nursing Supervisor also acts as the on-site administrator in the organization after normal business hours and has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator-on-Call. They also evaluate and manage departmental resources.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. They must also have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of three years of full-time post-licensure nursing experience in an oncology setting or an acute care hospital setting. The preferred candidate will have clinical knowledge and expertise in oncology. They will also exhibit strong communication kills and the ability to collaborate with various disciplines.
