Description of Duties:
The Motor Vehicle and Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation of motor vehicles (e.g., vans) for the purpose of providing a shuttle service for patients, visitors, and staff between Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center campus locations as well as Western New York region. The Motor Vehicle and Equipment Operator also drives a variety of motor vehicles both on and off the organization property in order to transport people, material and equipment as required and to plow snow from roads, pathways and parking lots and performs maintenance/repair tasks and maintains the appearance of the vehicles. They will also be responsible for completing clinic runs to our offsite clinic facilities and also picking up and delivering needed specimens, etc. back to Roswell or to offsite medical locations.
Applicants must have a Valid New York State Driver’s License and Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Valid Commercial Driver’s License with the Passenger “P” Endorsement. They must also have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and physically able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor. The preferred candidate will have three years of commercial driving experience with a safe driving record, will currently possess a valid commercial driver's license license with passenger "p" endorsement and air brakes, and will be physically fit and able to routinely lift 50 lbs. in the course of employment. They will also be motivated and able to assist when necessary.
