Description of Duties:
The Motor Vehicle and Equipment Operator is Responsible for the operation of motor vehicles (e.g., buses, vans, pick-up, snow removal and lawn care equipment) for the purpose of providing a shuttle service for patients, visitors, and staff between Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center campus locations as well as Western New York region; drives a variety of motor vehicles both on and off the Institute property in order to transport people, material and equipment as required and to plow snow from roads, pathways and parking lots; performs maintenance/repair tasks and maintains the appearance of the vehicles. The MVEO will work various hours in all types of weather.
The applicant must have a Valid New York State Driver’s License; and Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Valid Commercial Driver’s License with the Passenger “P” Endorsement. They must also have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and physically able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor. The preferred candidate will have a three years commercial driving experience (with a safe driving record), already have a valid Commercial driver's License with the Passenger "P" Endorsement and Air Brakes, be physically fit and able to routinely lift 50 lbs. in the course of employment, and be motivated to make a positive impact and able to assist when necessary.
