The Medical Scribe will collaborate with physicians, patients and clinic staff to facilitate patient flow and ensure accurate and complete medical records. The Medical Scribe will accompany the physician into the patient exam room to document all physician-directed elements of the patient’s visit in the electronic medical record system to include symptoms, medications, physical exam findings, complete assessment and treatment plan. They will also ensure compliance with all medical practices and procedures to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information. They must have knowledge of medical terminology.
Applicants must have an Associate's Degree. The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, one year of healthcare experience and will be a pre-med or nursing student. They will be computer proficient and will have the ability to learn new programs, will be able to accurately type 60 WPM, will have excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities, and will have the ability to professionally and effectively perform tasks in stressful situations. They will also have superior verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills to ensure outstanding patient care.
