Medical Records Associate I
The Medical Records Associate I retrieves paper medial records from inpatient and outpatient areas in the clinical centers; processes inpatient, outpatient and outside paper medical records; prepares medical records for scanning; scans prepped paper; assists with managing the long-term storage of paperwork after quality review processing is complete; ensures accurate and timely completion of scanning process; assists with microfiche projects and pulls historical paper charts for research.
Applicants must have an Associates degree in an Health Information Management program; or Successful completion of an accredited medical office assistant education program and the equivalent of six months of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience; or a High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one year of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience. The preferred candidate will have prior work experience in a Medical Records Department or Medical Office, document processing experience and electronic medical records experience. They will also have the ability to work well on a team, engaging in open and meaningful communication, display a positive attitude to your team, to your leadership and to your customers and the ability to collaborate on projects and tasks.
