Description of Duties

Supervises the procurement processes for operating room equipment and supplies; ensures the availability of adequate inventory for supplies and equipment; oversees par levels and special ordering of supplies in conjunction with the Perioperative Technician and manages templates throughout the perioperative areas; assists with monthly budget variance analysis; coordinates the Value Analysis Committee in conjunction with the Physician Chair; works with team leaders and physicians to obtain information on products for value analysis; follows through on action items recommended by the Value Analysis Committee; assists in invoice reconciliation; reviews and comments monthly on budget variances; assists in maintaining the Lawson database, CDM codes and SIS database; assists with financial asset audits, financial audits and routine data requests; provides a high level of customer service to patients, clinical staff and providers throughout Perioperative Services.


Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Business Administration ore related field; or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience in materials management in a healthcare setting. The preferred candidate will have supply chain experience as it relates to healthcare, particularly in a hospital setting. The preferred candidate will also have experience with Workday ERP software.
