Description of Duties:
The Manager of Finance Transformation assists the Finance Department in the development and implementation of the Finance Department Transformation initiatives, including assessing the current state, evaluating areas for improvement/enhancement, comparison to appropriate benchmarks and peer/aspirant institutions, recommending and documenting appropriate changes and overseeing implementation. The Manager of Finance Transformation identifies areas for improvement opportunities, including increasing efficiency and effectiveness in all Finance Department functional areas, increasing the use of technology and automation, and exploring the cost/benefit of out-sourcing certain functions, compares Finance Department practices, protocols and performance metrics to appropriate benchmarks, and develops enhancements to existing protocols and new protocols, methods and procedures to enhance the quality of project management disciplines used throughout the Finance Department. They also identify appropriate tools, techniques and trainings for consideration by the Finance Department Leadership, assist in managing various Finance Department projects as they arise and collaborate with functional leaders within Finance and provides project management assistance and guidance as needed. They prepare other written documentation as required by the profession and the department, maintains, distributes, analyzes and projects information for required records, reports and statistics as directed, and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and the equivalent of four years of full-time experience in a large regional or national CPA firm or consulting practice; or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and the equivalent of six years total experience in combination with a large regional or national CPA/consulting practice and a hospital, health system or other corporate Finance/Accounting department.
The preferred candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant.
