Life Recorded Program Coordinator
The Life Recorded Program Coordinator promotes the Life Recorded Program to individuals and groups throughout the entire Roswell Park community; works one-on-one with interested storytellers to develop a recording plan; conducts Life Recorded session recordings in audio or video format, edits and provides to the storyteller to share with their family members and friends; exhibits a high degree of compassion and respect for storytellers who come from diverse spiritual, religious and cultural backgrounds; facilitates the effective coordination of the Life Recorded Program; promotes the Life Recorded Program through development and execution of a robust outreach plan.
The applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Social Work, Human Services, Journalism, Marketing or a related field; or an Associates degree in Communications, Social Work, Human Services, Journalism, Marketing or a related field and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in communications within a healthcare setting. The preferred candidate will have experience with computer programs, audio/video editing and production software, experience in a health care setting working with patients, families and staff and experience with Public Speaking/Broadcasting. They will also have experience working with Volunteers, recruiting and training and with written communication (brochure design, web content, blogs). They will also have the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion, will possess an excellent presentation/facilitation skills and a high level of interpersonal, empathetic, customer service and organizational skills and will possesses knowledge and sensitivity to patient rights. They will have the ability to professionally and effectively perform duties in stressful situations.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
