Description of Duties:
The IT Service Desk Analyst provides customer service to end-user community; gathers pertinent information to aid in troubleshooting reported issues; triages all Help Desk requests; escalates requests to appropriate tier; prepares other written documentation as required by the profession and the department; maintains, distributes, analyzes and projects information for required records, reports and statistics as directed.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; or an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, including at least one emester of an RPCI-approved internship in Information Technology; or an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of two years of full-time customer service experience; or a High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of four years of full-time customer service experience. The preferred candidate will have excellent customer service, problem solving and organization skills; demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems; and the ability to exercise sound judgement in any customer service scenario.
