Description of Duties:
The Human Resources Associate provides human resources generalist services with primary responsibilities in the areas of Classification & Compensation, Employee & Labor Relations, Employee Benefits, and Talent Acquisition. The Human Resources Associate answers high volume of phone calls from employees, applicants and managers for all HR-related needs, directs and assists callers, walk-ins and appointments, and assists HR Administrators, Directors and other team members in day-to-day HR functions. They also assist with new hire onboarding, disseminate benefits information, process separations, complete auditing, and provide job and salary information. The Human Resources Associate coordinates meetings, assists with administrative tasks for investigations and grievances, tracks probations, completes employment verifications, provides transcription, and conducts license and background checks. They sort mail, file large volume of paperwork and documents, and are responsible for much more.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in human resources, human resources information systems, or a related field; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in human resources, human resources information systems, or a related field. The preferred candidate will have a human resources-related degree or coursework, human resources experience, and customer service experience. They will also have experience in a healthcare setting and strong administrative support experience.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
