Description of Duties:
The Human Resources Associate provides human resources generalist services with primary responsibilities in the areas of Classification & Compensation, Employee & Labor Relations, Employee Benefits, and Talent Acquisition. The Human Resources Associate answers high volume calls from employees, applicants and managers for all HR-related needs, directs and assists callers, walk-ins and appointments, and assists HR Administrators, Directors and other team members in day-to-day HR functions. They also assist with new hire onboarding, disseminate benefits information, process separations, complete auditing, provide job and salary infomation, coordinate meetings, assist with administrative tasks for investigations and grievances, and track probations. The Human Resources Associate completes employment verifications, provides transcription, conducts license and background checks, sorts mail, files large volume of paperwork and documents, and much more.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in human resources, human resources information systems, or a related field; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in human resources, human resources information systems, or a related field. The preferred candidate will have a human resources-related degree or coursework, human resources experience, customer service experience, experience in a healthcare setting, and strong administrative support experience. They will have the ability to maintain a large workload, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment, and will have impeccable communication and customer service skills. They will also have the ability to work effectively with a team and will have the ability to work with highly confidential information.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
