Description of Duties:
Manages the day-to-day operations of one or more training program(s) in collaboration with the Program Director(s) and GME Administrator, and is an essential member of the training program team. Requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the ACGME accreditation process and manages the program’s compliance with the Affiliation Agreement with the ACGME-recognized Sponsoring Institution. Assists the Program Director in the recruitment process and ensuring the program’s involvement in all activities mandated by the ACGME-recognized Sponsoring Institution (i.e. CLER, QI, PQRS, AIR, and Resident Well-Being Subcommittee). Serves as a liaison between the training program and the GME Office at partnering organizations, attending Training Program Administrator (TPA) meetings of the Sponsoring Institution. Assists in the development and management of the budgeting planning of the Annual Plan and audits the assignments to match the Annual Plan. Provides leadership and direction to trainees to facilitate their professional and personal development.
The applicant must have an Associates Degree and the equivalent of three years of administrative experience in a Graduate Medical Education (GME), healthcare, or educational environment; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four years of administrative experience in a Graduate Medical Education (GME), healthcare, or educational environment.
The preferred candidate should have a record of meeting the formal requirements of outside accrediting bodies or inspectors, optimally ACGME or accreditors of other medical or clinical training programs. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in maintaining trainee or personnel files and documenting compliance of trainees or personnel with workplace and/or academic program requirements. The preferred candidate should have experience preparing reports to internal and external offices on training activities and outcomes; must be adept at interacting with clinical professionals (physicians, fellows, residents, and medical students), administrative staff, managers and executives; must be adepts at complying with deadlines, providing responsive customer service, and managing responsibilities proactively and in a timely manner; must have an exceptional attention to detail in completing forms and reports and in adhering to regulations, policies, instructions, and guidance; must be able to respond and perform in stressful or urgent situations and must possess strong communication skills in both writing, speaking, listening, and presenting.
