Description of Duties

The Financial Data Analyst completes financial, operational and statistical related data requests and is responsible for the development and coordination of reports and analysis. The Financial Data Analyst leverages analytical skills to validate report results, analyzes operational and financial data in support of Institutional goals and objectives and works with other Business Intelligence team members and Institute staff to complete various projects and initiatives. They operate custom software systems, write/run custom reports, and complete data manipulation and observations with accuracy.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and the equivalent of two years of full-time finance, accounting, or related experience in a healthcare setting; or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and the equivalent of three years of full-time finance, accounting or related experience in a financial setting. The preferred candidate will have at least three years of full-time experience in finance or a related field in a healthcare setting. They will also have experience with report development, writing and generation, query design and data quality management. They will have experience in a clinical/hospital setting, experience with a documentation process and validation processes for accuracy, and will have healthcare analysis experience. They will have data management skills and experience with the development and delivery of ad/hoc analytic data requests. They will have the ability to multitask, will have strong written and oral communication skills, and will have Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
