Description of Duties:
Performs more complex administrative, clerical, and general office duties of a highly confidential nature; transcribes, types, maintains records and files, distributes mail; performs telephone reception; welcomes and directs on-site visitors; duplicates and distributes photocopies; routes faxes; revises work assignments at various subordinate levels to enhance administrative support efforts and meet department objectives; participates in the team or group work activities in the office; performs the above duties and responsibilities in a considerably complex and confidential environment requiring little or no supervision with broad latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative.
Applicants must possess an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of two years of full-time secretarial or related experience or High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three years of full-time secretarial or related experience. The preferred candidate will have an Associate's degree and five years of adminstrative and/or secretarial experience. The preferred candidate will have experience with payroll and timekeeping, as well as Microsoft Office. The preferred candidate will possess the ability to interact with a variety of customers while delivering a high level of customer service; possess the ability to use initiative, discretion and tact while working with diverse individuals in a poised and professional manner; demonstrate a high level of professionalism and communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication; possess the ability to independently organize tasks in a position that requires attention to detail and to work quickly and effectively in a busy work environment with frequent interruptions; possess the ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
