Description of Duties:
The Executive Secretary performs more complex administrative, clerical, and general office duties of a highly confidential nature; transcribes, types, maintains records and files, distributes mail; performs telephone reception; welcomes and directs on-site visitors; duplicates and distributes photocopies; routes faxes; revises work assignments at various subordinate levels to enhance administrative support efforts and meet department objectives; participates in the team or group work activities in the office; performs the above duties and responsibilities in a considerably complex and confidential environment requiring little or no supervision with broad latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative.
The applicant must have an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or a High School diploma or G.E.D. and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
The preferred candidate will have at least 2 years of experience using Microsoft applications as well as Endnote in support of academic physicians.
