Description of Duties

The Executive Director, Health Plan Partnerships & Value Based Care is responsible for the analysis, contract negotiation, data management, implementation, contract maintenance, and problem resolution of all hospital services and physician/clinical practice plan service and all of their commercial and Medicare and Medicaid payers relating to services provided by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and all of their entities and affiliates.  The Executive Director will actively monitor the regional managed care market conditions, as well as the national trends in the cancer care arena and ensure that RP is best positioned given the environment.

Qualifications

The applicant must have recognized licensure, if required, to perform the functions of the position. Applicants must have a Doctoral degree and the equivalent of two years of progressively responsible senior-level experience including eighteen months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or a Master’s degree and the equivalent of four years of progressively responsible senior-level experience including eighteen months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or a Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of six years of progressively responsible senior-level experience including eighteen months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or any combination of education/experience/training that demonstrates the ability of the individual to perform executive-level duties and fulfill the responsibilities of the Executive Director. However, all candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and have the equivalent of at least eighteen months’ experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; stated in 1, 2, or 3 above. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in managed care contracting, negotiation and implementation.
