Description of Duties:
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full time Employee and Labor Relations Administrator who performs employee/labor relations duties at the professional level. The Administrator participates in and facilitates the resolution of employee and labor relations issues and gathers related information; advises, counsels and trains supervisors and managers. The Administrator serves as liaison between management and union representatives and works with managers to address issues of employee misconduct, poor performance, and poor attendance. Administers processes under purview of Employee & Labor Relations Office, including performance evaluation process, probation report process, and unemployment process.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in an appropriate Human Resources related field. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in the public sector and/or a healthcare environment; will have previous experience administering workplace investigations and employee discipline in a unionized environment; will have previous experience interpreting, applying and advising employer on collective bargaining agreements, policies and applicable employment laws and regulations; will have previous experience resolving grievances and/or workplace issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technology skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite Software and excellent interpersonal relationship skills are necessary for this role.
