Description of Duties:
The Director, Practice Administration plans and directs activities related to future growth including market growth, business development and strategic planning for all aspects of practice management in collaboration with Disease Site Leadership. Provides leadership in developing business strategies and tactics to support the goals of assigned disease sites. Establishes and maintains a dynamic business plan for assigned services based on achievable strategic objectives; works with administrative staff in the managed care, financial and marketing areas as well as with the physician and other staff members to implement objectives. The Director, Practice Administration manages community outreach functions in collaboration with Physician Service Leaders, Department Chairs, Marketing teams and the Business Development Office, develops volume targets for each disease site in collaboration with the physician leaders and implements required tactics to achieve volume targets, ensures the sound financial operation of assigned disease site by implementing strategies to enhance financial performance, analyzes practice operations to determine potential enhancements or improvements to operational procedures and implements solutions.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field and the equivalent of five (5) years of progressively responsible ambulatory health system and/or physician practice management experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field and the equivalent of seven (7) years of progressively responsible ambulatory health system and/or physician practice management experience. The preferred candidate will have a Master's degree in business or healthcare management.
