Description of Duties

Directs the day to day operations of the Payer Relations and Managed Care functions of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park). Builds and maintains critical relationships with local, regional and national health plans, including representatives at the highest levels of network management at the health plans. Oversees contracting with all health plans and liaises with internal and external stake holders on such matters. Directs and facilitates analyses in support of payer contracts and related initiatives. Builds upon and updates Roswell Park's value proposition to the health plans. Facilitates information exchange by and between health plans and clinical, research and administrative leadership at Roswell Park. Functions as the face of the Payer Relations department, to internal and external stakeholders.
 

Qualifications

The applicant must have a Master degree in Business, Public Health or Health Care Administration and the equivalent of six years of relevant full-time experience in healthcare, insurance or physician practice management including eighteen months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Health or Health Care Administration and the equivalent of eight years of relevant full-time experience in healthcare, insurance or physician practice management including eighteen months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.
