Description of Duties:
The Director, Development Marketing & Communications will plan and oversee internal and external publicity, advertising, strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns to raise additional donations for the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation. The Director, Development Marketing & Communications will provide leadership communication counsel on fundraising related communication positioning to hospital leadership, Board of Directors, division leaders, and the VP for Development and VP for Marketing. The Director, Development Marketing & Communications will drive and implement all marketing and communication for fund raising programs and initiatives involving partnerships or sponsors, act as a catalyst for strategic development, alignment, and successful deployment of innovative business strategies, new technologies, and new market products and services.
The Director, Development Marketing & Communications will collaborate across the academic, clinical and research enterprises within RPCI to build corporate social responsibility, provide data analysis, research, and statistical support for strategic, financial/budget and operational planning, mapping and analysis in support of direct mail programs and other fund raising products. The Director, Development Marketing & Communications will develop, manage, and implement public relations, especially social media, and marketing strategies and programs directed towards donors and focused on driving donation growth for the organization, as well as, being responsible for the fundraising website development and maintenance, publication integration to mobile and web applications, business planning and project specific budgeting.
This position reports to both the Vice President of Development and the Vice President of Marketing, Planning and Public Affairs.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of 10 years of full-time experience in integrated marketing communications strategy, crisis communication and community relations.
The preferred candidate will be a team player with self-direction and ability to multi-task and work efficiently/effectively with senior staff, Foundation staff, leadership volunteers, corporate and individual donors. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in a fundraising or not-for-profit environment as well.
