Description of Duties:
The Digital Content Coordinator maintains, writes, edits, publishes and organizes Roswell Park’s multi-media digital content with a focus on its users and search engines, keeps own web project timelines and all project members on track for their deliverables and deadlines, and assists in planning/scheduling upcoming projects and processes documentation. The Digital Content Coordinator also supports the content and messaging for Roswell Park’s digital communication tactics, including social media, upholding content and style standards and ensuring accuracy of all published content, and enters and maintains content, taxonomy and menus.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Biology, Health Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in marketing communications with knowledge of web content management; or a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Health Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in marketing communications with knowledge of web content management. The preferred candidate will have the ability to write and speak clearly and convincingly to a variety of target audiences, to perform data entry and application updates via CMS (Content Management System), to assure the quality of all new web pages, including written words, videos, audio files, photos and links, and to build online forms and menus and create/maintain tagging vocabulary. They will also possess knowledge of HTML and WYSIWYG editors, will have a basic understanding of search engine optimization, and will possess a solid understanding in grammar, punctuation and proofreading/editing. They will possess strong writing skills and attention to detail and will understand all applications utilized in the role (i.e., Photoshop, Microsoft Office suite and Content Management Systems like Drupal and Wordpress).
