Description of Duties:
The Data Manager I provides daily data abstraction and entry for the Urology Department's clinical databases, specific to bladder, kidney, and/or prostate cancer, works with faculty, staff, and all levels of trainees in utilizing the data to support clinical inquiry, and monitors the data collection system for consistency and completeness. The Data Manager I also organizes and maintains all documentation of data, data definitions, and data requests. The Data Manager I works under direction of the Data Manager II and Biostatistician.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a clinical trials and/or research environment; or an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in a clinical trials and/or research environment. The preferred candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, have at least two years experience with electronic medical records, have at least two years experience in the collection and entry of clinical data, and familiarity with medical terminology. They will also be comfortable working with physicians in a professional environment and be able to work through ambiguity and resolve issues together with a team.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
