Corporate Coding Supervisor
Health Research, Inc. (HRI) Roswell Park Division is seeking a full-time Corporate Coding Supervisor. The Corporate Coding Supervisor assures corporate coding is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with third party carrier and compliance and regulatory agency guidelines. The Corporate Coding Supervisor works directly with physicians, administrators, and nursing as well as other organization staff to retrieve information related to the coding and billing for inpatient, outpatient and ancillary services provided. They also participate on committees, both interdepartmental and interdepartmental, on issues related to coding and compliance and supervise Corporate Coding Specialists in the Corporate Reimbursement Department.
The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and the equivalent of three years of full-time coding experience; or an Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and the equivalent of five years of full-time coding experience; or an Associate’s degree, certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and the equivalent of five years of full-time coding experience. The preferred candidate will have experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding and medical terminology. They will also have knowledge of compliance standards and third party carrier policies, superbill generation and automation of data interfaces. They will have supervisory experience.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
