Description of Duties

Health Research, Inc. (HRI) Roswell Park Division is seeking a temporary full-time Content Specialist. The Content Specialist develops content for internal communications related to the Workday software transformation, including employee spotlights, internal e-newsletter articles, internal mass emails, intranet posts and promotional materials. Collaborates in the development of content topics and the departmental content calendar and use of photography, videography and creative ways to tell the Workday story. Integrate the Workday project with other internal communications and events as a collaborative member of the Marketing Team. Assists in the development and implementation of strategic marketing strategies for specific departments and groups within the organization.
 

Qualifications

The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in writing as a journalist with knowledge of digital content writing.

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Journalism, Communications, Video/Photography, Creative Arts, English or a related field along with strong writing skills and journalistic style. The preferred candidate will also have photography and videography skills, and basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare concepts. They will have basic competency in word processing and office-related software programs, they will show professionalism and concern for patient and employee privacy and sensitivity, they will have a strong work ethic and the ability to maintain accuracy and the ability to effectively convey messages through short videos designed to assist employees in the change process.

This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
