Description of Duties:
The Community Volunteer Specialist organizes, develops and maintains ongoing programs aimed toward enhancing the organizations culture. The Community Volunteer Specialist maintains the Music in the Lobby Program, acts as the liaison to the Alliance Art Committee including maintaining artwork database, and recruits and schedules gift shop volunteers monthly to assist with the gift shops overall functioning. They also provide assistance to the Volunteer Services Administrator in all areas of recruitment, placement, recordkeeping, and orienting of volunteers.
Applicants must have an Associates degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in the provision of community outreach, volunteer or community education programs; ora High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in the provision of community outreach, volunteer or community education programs. The preferred candidate will have a background in art and music, will have a strong attention to detail, and will have the ability to multi-task in a busy office setting. They will have good interpersonal skills and will have flexibility in task management.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
