The Assistant Purchasing Coordinator creates, reconciles, organizes, and files purchase orders and receiving documents, handles day-to-day inquiries regarding order statuses and returns, and collaborates with Accounts Payable and Grant Management departments. The Assistant Purchasing Coordinator also performs data entry in two different systems and manages files.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or a related field and the equivalent of one year of full-time purchasing or contract management experience in a healthcare, business, or corporate environment; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three years of full-time purchasing or contract management experience in a healthcare, business, or corporate environment. The preferred candidate will have experience in an office setting, preferably doing data entry, receiving or purchasing. They will also have excellent communication and customer service skills.
